HOW DOES AIR FREIGHT WORK?
When we send our consignments by ‘Air Freight’ they usually arrive within 12 – 24 hours from dispatch – it’s pretty easy and our team are happy to walk you through the entire process.
Air Freight usually involves the following: CLESCRANE dispatches goods via an international air carrier. The goods then arrive at your local/agreed airport. At this point, the receiving warehouse at the destination airport will contact you to make payment of any duties and taxes, and if applicable, any handling fees. You will then arrange for the cargo to be collected from the airport, using you own domestic courier or transport. 
Sending goods by Sea Freight is usually applicable for larger consignments or non-urgent shipments, where it’s more cost-effective than air freight or express courier services. Ranging from 2-14 week transit time from the China, depending on your destination. Sea Freight is a very similar process to air, the goods are delivered to a China port of loading, then loaded into a shipping container aboard the vessel.
When the final destination port is reached, the clearing agent will make contact with you to provided payment for any duties, taxes, and handling fees, where applicable. You can then arrange onward domestic transport yourself. 

CUSTOMS CLEARANCE
Clearing goods through customs is always easier than it sounds. You can usually estimate all of your import charges by performing the following:
1. Ask CLESCRANE the Harmonised System (HS) or Customs Tariff Code for your goods and check this with the local freight forwarder – they should be able to advise you of any local charges that you might encounter when important this type of equipment. 
2. Check with your clearing agent or freight forwarder for any handling or ‘landing’ fees.
